At Iron Ridge Farms, our plant nursery is rooted in quality, care, and plants grown for success in Tennessee landscapes. We propagate, grow, and sell a wide variety of plants right here on the farm, allowing us to closely monitor each plant from cutting to sale.

Grown on the Farm

Unlike large box-store plants shipped in from across the country, our nursery stock is grown locally in Middle Tennessee conditions. This means stronger root systems, healthier plants, and better long-term performance once planted in your landscape.

Most of our plants are propagated on-site, giving us greater control over quality and consistency while ensuring they are well-adapted to our local climate.

Buying locally grown plants helps ensure:

  • Better transplant success
  • Improved heat and drought tolerance
  • Stronger root development
  • Plants adapted to Tennessee conditions

Our Plant Selection

Our farm nursery carries a diverse, seasonally changing selection of plants, including:

  • Flowering shrubs
  • Berry bushes
  • Evergreens
  • Trees
  • Perennials
  • Fruit trees
  • Vegetable starts

Availability varies throughout the year as plants reach ideal planting size.

Vegetable Starts for Home Gardens

Our vegetable starts are grown for home gardeners who want a strong, healthy start to the growing season. We offer a rotating selection of seasonal vegetable plants, perfect for backyard gardens, raised beds, and containers.

Vegetable starts are typically available in spring and early summer and may include:

  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • Cucumbers
  • Squash
  • Herbs
  • Other seasonal vegetables

Because they are grown locally, our vegetable starts are already adapted to Tennessee growing conditions, helping gardeners get earlier harvests and stronger plants.

Native & Pollinator-Friendly Plants

We are proud to offer a selection of native and pollinator-friendly plants that support local ecosystems. These plants are well-adapted to Tennessee landscapes and provide essential food and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

Benefits of native and pollinator-friendly plants include:

  • Lower maintenance once established
  • Improved drought tolerance
  • Support for local wildlife
  • Long-lasting seasonal interest

These plants are excellent choices for naturalized areas, pollinator gardens, and low-maintenance landscapes.

For those managing land with wildlife in mind, Iron Ridge Farms also offers plant options well-suited for food plots and habitat improvement. Whether you’re preparing for deer season or simply want to support wildlife year-round, selecting the right plants can make a meaningful difference.

Our nursery carries and sources plants that can be used for:

  • Wildlife food plots
  • Deer and turkey habitat
  • Edge and transition zones
  • Cover and browse enhancement

Many of these plant options also provide benefits beyond hunting, including erosion control, soil improvement, and increased biodiversity.

We’re happy to help hunters and landowners choose plants that align with their goals, property size, and seasonal timelines. Availability varies by season, so we recommend checking in for current offerings and future planting plans.
