Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’ (Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’)
‘Annabelle’ is one of the most popular hydrangeas for good reason. This classic variety is prized for its massive, globe-shaped flower clusters that can measure up to 12 inches across. Starting as soft green buds in early summer, the blooms mature into pure white spheres that last for weeks before fading back to green. Even after flowering, the dried heads remain attractive into fall and winter, adding structure to the landscape.
A reliable bloomer, ‘Annabelle’ thrives in a wide range of soils and is hardy enough to flower even after harsh winters. Its mounded form and stunning summer display make it an excellent choice for foundation plantings, mixed borders, or mass plantings along a fence or walkway.
Grows 3–5 ft. tall and wide. Zones 3–9.
